Responsibilities

Our client is seeking a skilled Azure AI Engineer to join their team. Work as an Azure AI Engineer on an agile team implementing a modern Azure-based enterprise document and Data management solution. In this role, you will focus on Azure Document Intelligence, OCR, and Metadata extraction as well as automating document classification using Azure Cognitive Services and Azure AI. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Azure Engineering team to automate document processing and enhance data insights using machine learning and NLP techniques.

Requirements

   • Experience implementing AI-based automation using Azure Document Intelligence

   • Ability to customize and leverage pre-built Azure APIs

   • Experience with retrieving and filtering data using Cognitive search

   • Working knowledge of Azure Functions, Pipelines, ADLS, and Blob Storage

   • Experience with Azure Services (Azure Functions, Blob Storage, SQL, Event Grid)

   • Experience with integrating third party SaaS APIs (SharePoint, Dynamics 365, etc.)

   • Prior experience with training and fine-tuning Machine learning models, entity recognition, and metadata extraction

   • Strong understanding of OCR, NLP and Entity recognition

   • Ability to design Azure Functions and Power Automate custom connectors to enhance ETL operations

   • Strong debugging and performance optimization skills

Preferred Skills and Experience

   • Experience with retraining pipelines for continuous improvement of AI Models

   • Proficiency in Python etc for AI model development

   • Ability to automate AI Workflows using Machine Learning Pipelines and Azure Functions

   • Experience with monitoring AI Model performance using Azure Monitor and Application Insights

   • Experience developing solutions using MS Power Apps and Power Automate

   • SQL knowledge

   • Familiarity with Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure SQL Database

   • Experience with implementing authentication and security (OAuth, Azure AD)

   • Able to design systems and asynchronous workflows using Azure Functions and Event Driven architecture

Clearance Requirements

   • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Must be able to obtain a US Government Public Trust Clearance.
