

AI Data Engineer
• This role will be W2
• This role involves providing technical support with a focus on cloud computing, data architecture, and AI technologies. The contractor will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in data engineering, cloud solutions, data strategies, and industry best practices. Key responsibilities include advising on data governance, data integration, ETL processes, and AI/ML model integration while collaborating with stakeholders within the DoD community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain cloud-based data storage and processing strategies that align with mission objectives.
• Provide guidance on data security, privacy, and best practices in data architecture, warehousing, and governance.
• Design and implement data pipelines and models for AI and analytics applications.
• Establish data architecture standards, manage repositories, and generate detailed reports.
• Resolve technical challenges through research, creative thinking, and analytical approaches.
• Design and optimize databases to support research, analyze business needs, and ensure scalability and performance.
• Develop logical and physical data models that adhere to healthcare interoperability standards and vocabularies like FHIR and SNOMED.
• Design database integrations using No-SQL, SQL, T-SQL, and related tools.
• Collaborate on defining data extraction and transformation requirements.
• Implement innovative data workflows to enhance clinical and operational outcomes.
• Ensure database security, recovery, and optimization through industry standards and best practices.
Core Skills and Tools:
• Expertise in cloud architecture, database design, and AI integration, including object-oriented databases.
• Proficiency in No-SQL, SQL, T-SQL, SSIS, and data modeling tools.
• In-depth knowledge of data governance, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to create detailed technical documentation.
