Job Overview
Join the NCDIT-Transportation Web Systems group as a Cloud DevOps Expert in Raleigh, NC, for a 12-month hybrid contract position. This role calls for a skilled professional ready to contribute to pivotal cloud initiatives within the Department of Highways, focusing on the development and design of both new and existing Platform as a Service (PaaS) applications alongside their respective infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct research on application design for the transformation and modernization of enterprise applications utilizing Azure cloud and Terraform.
• Facilitate the deployment and maintenance of the organization’s cloud infrastructure.
• Acquire and maintain an in-depth comprehension of the Azure platform, encompassing Azure Networking, Web Application Firewall, API Management Services, and Microsoft Entra/Active Directory.
• Recommend Azure PaaS applications and networking services to support organizational growth into the cloud.
• Document technical procedures related to Disaster Recovery for Azure applications.
• Create architectural diagrams and comprehensive documentation for existing cloud-hosted applications.
• Investigate and implement an integration process between Azure DevOps and ServiceNow.
• Research and evaluate new technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Skills
• Profound knowledge of Azure cloud services and infrastructure management.
• Proficiency in Terraform for cloud deployment.
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of Web Application Firewall and API Management Services.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Entra/Active Directory.
