Platform Engineer

Kubernetes Platform Engineer – London – Hybrid 3 days onsite - Up to £750/day Outside IR35

Our client a commodities trading firm is seeking a Kubernetes Platform Engineer who will be responsible for designing and implementing an on-prem Kubernetes platform. This platform will run and host cloud-native applications for our clients trading, operations, supply chain and corporate functions

Key Responsibilities
• The design and architecture of the on-premises Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Configuring and implementing Kubernetes components
• Building the Kubernetes working nodes and integrating them into the current on prem infrastructures
• Creating Kubernetes cluster networking models

Candidate Technical Skills / Role Requirements:
• In depth knowledge and experience of Kubernetes architecture and networking, with 5+ years of experience building Kubernetes in production environments
• Previous experience with Kubernetes cluster operating tools such as Linux
• Previous experience with Rancher
• Previous experience with Kubernetes deployment tools
• A deep understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, GitOps)
• Robust skills in scripting languages such as Python.
• Previous experience and an understanding of working in a highly regulated environment.
