Job Description
We are seeking a skilled developer to join our GTS Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing data integration processes using various ETL/ELT tools such as SNP Glue, Matillion and Data Services. Additionally, the role would need an all round scripting skillset to write automation jobs and customise Power BI. This role involves working closely with various departments to ensure seamless data flow and integration between multiple systems.
This is part of an exciting project to produce cloud-based data models in Snowflake and Oracle
Key Responsibilities
• Data Integration: Design, implement, and manage data integration workflows.
• Data Replication: Oversee high-volume data extraction and replication processes, ensuring pipeline reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Change Data Capture (CDC): Implement and manage CDC methods to capture and replicate changes in real-time.
• Scripting : Scripting in Power Automate and Power BI
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of data integration processes to ensure efficiency and reliability.
• Error Handling: Develop and maintain error handling and troubleshooting procedures for data integration workflows.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure data integration processes comply with security standards and data governance policies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data integration processes, configurations, and best practices.
• Project Onboarding: Integrating new pipelines aligned to project goals and deliverables with the necessary tools, resources and information.
Skills/Experience
Essential
• 3+ years of experience in ETL development and data integration
• Proficiency with ETL tools such as Matillion, Data Services, SNP Glue or similar and/or scripting of data migration
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake)
• Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data platforms
• Familiarity with event-based architectures and HTTP connectors
Desirable
• Re-insurance industry knowledge.
• SAP certification in relevant modules & experience with SNP Glue
• Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell)
