Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Video Data Preprocessing and Annotation Specialist to prepare and annotate video datasets for machine learning model development. This role involves preprocessing video data, applying annotations to support object detection and categorization tasks, and ensuring high-quality labeled datasets for use in algorithm training and testing.
Key Responsibilities

Preprocess pre-recorded video data to prepare it for machine learning applications, with a focus on ensuring the feasibility of analysis in operational and laboratory settings.
Annotate video datasets with accurate labels to support algorithm development.
Ensure consistency and precision in annotations, addressing the need for high categorization accuracy and the ability to distinguish unique characteristics.
Collaborate with the engineering and data science teams to refine workflows and optimize preprocessing for algorithms.
Maintain detailed documentation of preprocessing and annotation methodologies, highlighting their role in addressing technical objectives and ensuring reproducibility.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Master’s degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field with an emphasis on video analytics or computer vision (Preferred).
At least 3–5 years of experience in video data preprocessing and annotation for machine learning applications.
Proven track record in preparing datasets for computer vision tasks such as object detection and segmentation.
Strong familiarity with video formats, frame extraction, and resolution adjustments.
Proficiency in Python and libraries like OpenCV, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
Knowledge of annotation standards and practices to ensure high-quality datasets.
Excellent communication skills for reporting findings and progress to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to travel to Daytona Beach, FL as needed for team meetings
