RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Lenexa, KS that is looking for a Data Engineer for a 100% onsite 6-month contract to hire or direct hire opportunity.

Data Architecture and Management:
• Design, collaborate, implement, and maintain data architecture solutions that support business objectives and data strategy
• Develop and optimize ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, quality, and reliability
• Maintain and update data infrastructure, including data warehouses, databases, and data lakes

Data Analysis and Integration:
• Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions
• Integrate data from various sources to create comprehensive data solutions that meet stakeholder needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data integration strategies

Azure and SQL Expertise:
• Utilize Azure services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database) to develop scalable data solutions
• Employ SQL for data querying, analysis, and optimization of data models
• Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and regulations

Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in data engineering
• Recommend innovative solutions to improve system efficiency and performance

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proven experience (5+ years) in data engineering and architecture
• Strong understanding of data analysis principles, data modeling, and ETL processes
• Proficiency in Azure services, ADF, Azure SQL, SQL, and data integration tools
• In-depth knowledge of relational and non-relational database management systems
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business insights, both written and verbally
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to efficiently work with interdepartmental teams and other internal stakeholders
• Reflects the qualities of "hungry, humble, and smart"

Preferred:
• Master's degree
• Professional certification in data engineering (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) is highly desirable

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
