Job Description: Compensation Analyst
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the support and design of compensation structures to attract, retain, and motivate employees, including:
• Salary analysis
• Job evaluations
• Compensation strategy
• Policy interpretation and implementation
• Communication strategies
• Data management and reporting
• Program management and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with the broader divisional HR team to:
• Ensure compliance with BASF policies and processes
• Promote fair and consistent pay practices
• Provide consultation on ad hoc compensation projects and topics
• Ensure consistency and alignment with total rewards management practices
Education
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Relevant certification(s) such as World at Work (CCP, GRP, or similar) desirable
Knowledge/Skills
Analytical and Problem-Solving:
• Strong logical reasoning skills to identify, develop, and evaluate alternative solutions to compensation topics
Technical Proficiency:
• Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts) and PowerPoint
• Experience with Power BI dashboard development strongly preferred
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
• Excellent ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organization
Project Management:
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with a strong attention to detail and high accuracy
Professionalism:
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
