Location: Edison, New Jersey (Onsite)
Job Type: Contract (Long Term).
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Cognos Developer with strong expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases to join our team in Edison, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience and be capable of working independently. This role is open to candidates with an independent visa.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Cognos reports and dashboards to meet business requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for reporting and data visualization.
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and NoSQL solutions to support data integration and reporting.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across various data sources.
Perform troubleshooting and problem resolution for Cognos-related issues.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Stay current with Cognos updates, best practices, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least 10 years of experience in Cognos development and reporting.
Strong proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
In-depth knowledge of Cognos architecture, framework, and components.
Experience in designing and developing Cognos reports, dashboards, and cubes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
