BI Reporting Analyst

Role Overview:
• Position: Data Analyst/BI Reporting Analyst (Contractor)
• Location: Hybrid; candidate must be based in Mountain View, CA (3 days onsite/week).
• Contract Duration: 12 months (possible extension to 18 months).
Responsibilities:
Analytics & Reporting:
• Support leadership with ad-hoc analytics requests and recurring reports (e.g., weekly metrics).
• Query databases (SQL) and generate actionable insights.Dashboard Migration:
• Transition dashboards from Tableau to Amazon QuickSight.
• Build and maintain new dashboards.Collaboration:
• Work with cross-functional teams (engineering, legal, AML teams).
• Direct interaction with managers and occasionally leadership, once ramped up.Automation:
• Use Python for automating reports and potentially integrating AI/ML insights into processes.
Required Skills:
• SQL: Strong querying and database management capabilities.
• Dashboarding: Experience with Tableau, QuickSight, or other BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Python: Basic skills for automation and analytics enhancements.
Preferred Experience:
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in Fintech, AML, or regulatory environments.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical thinking and ability to solve ambiguous problems.
• Storytelling: Ability to effectively communicate insights to leadership.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Experience:
• 2–4 years in analytics or a related field.
• Open to fresh graduates with relevant internships or project work.
• Mindset:
• Fast learner with ownership mentality.
• Proactive in ambiguous situations.
Interview Process:
Round 1: Technical interview (SQL, dashboarding, and problem-solving).
Round 2: Behavioral and scenario-based questions with the hiring manager.
Additional Notes:
• Flexibility on tools; Tableau expertise is sufficient for transitioning to QuickSight.
• Sanctions and regulatory knowledge is a plus but not mandatory.
• Open to candidates with consulting, banking, or related backgrounds.
