What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
• Design and implement Alation data catalog functionality to support broader data management initiatives
• Lead the development of BI reporting objects, including data models, Python scripts, and Tableau dashboards
• Support technical integration of Alation with other enterprise systems for critical data lineage information
• Create custom workflows and integrations using programming languages and platform APIs
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Alation functionality
What Is Required (Qualifications)
• Minimum of 5 years of end-to-end BI development experience, including design, data engineering, and reporting
• Strong proficiency in designing relational data models and SQL querying
• Intermediate Python skills for automating system integrations and workflows
• Understanding of data catalogs and their functionalities, including data dictionaries and lineage
• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or AWS

• Experience with onboarding technical and functional metadata from various data sources
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels
