Business Analyst/Project Manager (Qlik to Power BI Migration)

Salt Lake City, UT (hybrid)

6 - 12 month contract (possible conversion)

Pay Range: $50.00 - $60.00per hr

Job Description:

Our client is looking a highly skilled Business Analyst/Project Manager to lead the documentation and coordination efforts of our enterprise-wide migration from Qlik to Power BI. This individual will play a pivotal role in capturing and documenting business requirements, managing project timelines, and ensuring seamless communication across multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong Business Analysis and Project Management expertise, with experience in business intelligence (BI) tools and migrations.

Required Skills:
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Project Manager, with at least 2 years focused on business intelligence solutions or data migration projects.
• Proven experience in leading the documentation and coordination of enterprise-level migrations, preferably involving BI platforms such as Qlik, Power BI, or similar.
• Strong understanding of Business Analysis techniques (e.g., process mapping, requirements gathering, gap analysis).
• Solid experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to create clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions in a timely manner.

Bonus/Soft Skills:
• Experience supporting distributed technology teams in varying countries - willing to work off hours for meetings across the globe
• Certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) and/or Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP).
• Experience with Power BI or other BI platforms.
• Familiarity with Qlik's architecture and reporting structures.
• Knowledge of data governance, data modeling, and data visualization best practices.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or related field.
