Job Title: Technical BI & Data Analytics Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager with deep expertise in Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Analytics to lead end-to-end delivery of complex data-driven initiatives. This role requires a strong mix of technical proficiency, project management discipline (Agile and Waterfall), and stakeholder engagement to align analytics solutions with strategic business objectives. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable working with data engineers, analysts, and business executives.

Key Responsibilities:

   • Lead BI and analytics projects from planning through execution, including data warehouse enhancements, dashboard/reporting development, and predictive analytics initiatives.

   • Translate business needs into clear project requirements and technical deliverables, collaborating with cross-functional teams (data engineers, analysts, business users, product owners).

   • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource allocations using tools such as MS Project, Jira, or Smartsheet.

   • Oversee the implementation of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker) and data infrastructure projects (Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, etc.).

   • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and track progress via Jira or similar tools.

   • Monitor and manage project budgets, timelines, risks, and scope changes; ensure timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.

   • Act as liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.

   • Establish and maintain data governance, data quality, and documentation best practices.

   • Drive adoption of self-service analytics by developing intuitive and scalable solutions.

Qualifications:

   • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).

   • 5+ years of project management experience with 3+ years specifically in BI/Data Analytics environments.

   • PMP, PMI-ACP, or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification preferred.

   • Hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.), SQL, ETL processes, and data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, Azure, GCP).

   • Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing (e.g., Kimball, Inmon), and advanced analytics (e.g., Python, R, machine learning) is a plus.

   • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

   • Familiarity with modern data stack tools (dbt, Fivetran, Apache Airflow).

   • Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance) with an understanding of data compliance (GDPR, HIPAA).

   • Strong understanding of KPIs, metrics, and business process optimization through data.

   • Experience delivering projects in both Agile/Scrum and traditional Waterfall environments.
