Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Reporting Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of a reporting hub in data platform. The data platform uses Medallion architecture and stores data from all source data systems from distinct business units. This role is pivotal in unifying data from the data platform into a cohesive, scalable, and time-consistent models for various reporting and analytical needs. The reporting hub architecture will enable consistent, reliable enterprise reporting and incorporate specialized data marts to streamline access and insights across the organization. Expertise with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and Azure are essential for this transformative project.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting Hub Development:
• Design and direct the reporting implementation team to build a reporting hub which will house semantic models and datamarts for a unified reporting portal
• Develop data marts to support targeted, efficient reporting aligned with business objectives.
• Datamarts should be developed for all internal reporting needs as well as serve as a data source to AI initiatives
Technology Leadership
• Develop a roadmap for end state reporting architecture and build of all reports across various business units.
• Utilize Microsoft Fabric workspaces to design the reporting hub and datamarts.
• Utilize Microsoft Fabric - Power BI to build the reports.
• Leverage the full capabilities of Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, to drive scalability and performance in the reports
Data Integration And Modeling
• Integrate with engineered data in the enterprise data platform to build semantic models for reporting
• Contribute to organization and designing of reports
• Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models that align with organizational reporting and analytics needs.
• Implement standardized, reusable data assets to ensure consistency across the enterprise.
Experience
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in reporting data architecture with a proven track record of working on transformative enterprise data platform initiative
• Hands-on expertise in building out reporting solutions on cloud using cloud based PowerBI visualization tool
• Experience in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, and/or Azure Data Factory (ADF).
Technical Skills
• Deep expertise in data modeling, including conceptual, logical, and physical models.
• Deep expertise in building reporting visualization solutions on cloud
• Strong proficiency in SQL
• Comprehensive understanding of data mart design, integration of models with visualization tool and metadata management.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with ER Studio or similar modeling tools.
Soft Skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Superior communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams to successful outcomes.
