• Seeking a detail-oriented Tableau Data Visualization Analyst to be a part of Finance Visual Analytics team using Tableau.
• You will be working closely with a variety of business partners to Design, Develop and implement Tableau Dashboards / Self-Service platforms to enable customers to analyze data and make business decisions.
• You will be expected to have an understanding of Advanced Tableau s capabilities to solve complex development challenges.
• The ideal candidate comes from a rapid Agile Iterative development environment, developing numerous dashboards along with proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Python knowledge/experience is nice to have.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with Finance users to interpret their needs and identify User Stories.
• Develops and automates reports, iteratively build and prototype dashboards to provide insights at scale, solving for analytical needs. Facilitates implementation of work product and ensure accuracy.
• Invent creative and innovative ways to answer key business questions by leveraging existing data assets or creating new ones.
• Tableau Dashboard development using appropriate Visualizations, Advanced Navigation techniques, customizing dimensions using calculations / other functions and Level of Detail expressions.
• Performance tuning of Tableau dashboards to optimize the data extracts and rendering time.
• Support the Migration and Validation of Databases and Tableau server upgrades.
• Creation and maintenance of Project documentation, knowledge in SharePoint/GitHub. Consistently follows standard work processes and documentation requirements. Recommends improvement to work processes to increase efficiency while maintaining quality of work.
• Drive effective teamwork, communication and collaboration to achieve results.
• Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor s Degree in a quantitative discipline with 5 years of work experience in quantitatively driven industries.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience developing Tableau dashboards using cloud data platforms like Snowflake.
• End-to-End Tableau development experience from Tableau data model publication, interactive dashboard design/development to deployment/maintenance. Hands-on skills with use of action filters, user filters, calculations and Level-of-Detail (LOD) expressions.
• Experience tuning the performance of Tableau Server dashboards to minimize the data and rendering refresh cycles and optimize the end user experience.
• Storyteller capable of delivering creative design and interactive data visualizations.
• Understanding data warehouse concepts along with knowledge of SQL to write complex, highly optimized queries across large volumes of data.
• Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Tableau certification is a plus.
