Job Summary:

Our well-known consulting client is seeking a skilled Tableau Developer to join their team in a virtual capacity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Tableau dashboards and reports while collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, technical proficiency, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities:
• Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports tailored to business needs.
• Requirement Gathering: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize Tableau dashboards for usability, scalability, and performance.
• Data Integration: Connect Tableau with various data sources, including relational databases, spreadsheets, and cloud services.
• User Training & Support: Provide guidance and training to end-users on Tableau functionalities and best practices.
• Data Accuracy & Integrity: Ensure all reports and visualizations maintain high data accuracy and consistency.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest Tableau features, industry trends, and best practices to enhance reporting capabilities.

Technical Skills & Experience:
• Proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Online.
• Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
• Experience with SQL and relational database management (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Power BI, QlikView) is a plus.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data manipulation and analysis is advantageous.

Analytical & Business Acumen:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret complex datasets.
• Experience in data modeling and structured analysis.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions that enhance decision-making.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights.
• Effective communication skills for presenting data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Project Management & Soft Skills:
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Tableau Developer or in a similar role.
• Tableau Certification(s) (e.g. Tableau Desktop Specialist, Tableau Desktop Certified Associate, etc.) is(are) preferred.
