Role Description
This is a remote contract role for a Sr. Snowflake Data Engineer. The Sr. Snowflake Data Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing enterprise-level data warehousing solutions using Snowflake. The Developer will also be responsible for creating and maintaining source-to-target mappings, ETL workflows, and SQL queries while ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. As a Sr. Snowflake Data Engineer, you will be collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and completion of project deliverables. Looking for EAD, Green Card or Citizens only.
Qualifications
• Snowflake development expertise including hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Strong experience with SQL, Snowpipes & Snowtasks
• Should be able to write efficient queries on high volume tables and understanding of columnar databases
• Strong programming experience with Python is a must
• Experience designing and implementing ETL workflows
• Experience with cloud-based architecture and big data technologies
• Strong understanding of database design, data integration, and data modeling principles
• Experience with data warehousing best practices and methodologies
• Experience with Airflow is preferred
• Experience with Astronomer is preferred
• Snowflake certifications are a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely
