Join the Media Experience, Performance Engineering Quality Team at Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology (DE&ET), where we are reimagining the landscape of media and entertainment. Our mission is to evolve client's streaming, digital products, and media business, focusing on innovative content delivery and transforming the future of media engineering. You'll play a key role in developing software/systems for media content, ensuring the best playback experiences for viewers across renowned platforms.
Key Responsibilities
• Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources, including Conviva, user engagement metrics, and backend systems.
• Utilize SQL to query large datasets and generate custom reports and dashboards for internal teams.
• Work with Conviva data to monitor video streaming performance, including key metrics such as buffering, startup time, video quality, and latency.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design data pipelines and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the data being collected.
Must-Have Skills:
• Proven experience working with streaming media analytics, preferably using tools like Conviva or related streaming technology.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
• Proven Success in a high availability, large-scale production environment on AWS or any other public cloud
• Expert in data Visualization tools such as Grafana, Datadog, Kibana or splunk - Preferred
Industry Experience:
• 4-7 Years of substantial experience in streaming Media, content distribution or video
• Experience in advertising, media platforms, or any other streaming platforms is preferred.
• Knowledge of video streaming quality metrics and technical aspects affecting the viewer.
