Data Engineer

Job Description: As a Senior Data Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using Databricks in an Azure environment. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and ready for advanced AI and machine learning applications.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Databricks on Azure to support AI and machine learning initiatives.
Develop and maintain data storage solutions, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability within the Azure ecosystem.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data sets.
Optimize data workflows and performance, addressing bottlenecks and improving efficiency.
Integrate data from various sources, including structured and unstructured data, into the Databricks environment on Azure.
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Implement best practices for data management, versioning, and governance in an Azure environment.
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Databricks, Azure, and data engineering technologies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on designing data pipelines and ETL processes.
Proficiency in Databricks and its ecosystem, within an Azure environment.
Solid programming skills in Python
Experience with distributed computing frameworks like Apache Spark.
Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts and workflows.
Knowledge of data storage solutions such as data lakes, data warehouses, and databases.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
