Role Description
This is a contract Sr Data Analyst role located in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Sr Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing data, using statistical methods to interpret data, and communicating findings. The role also involves data modeling and working on-site to support the company's objectives.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field or equivalent related experience.
• 10+ years of data analyst or related experience, including proficiency with analytical software or equivalent related education, particularly working with databases.
• Proficiency in statistics, data analysis, and research methods.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in adaptability, decision making, customer service, interpersonal relations, oral communication, problem solving, project management, quality management, teamwork, written communication, group presentations, group process facilitation, influence, results orientation, and strategic thinking.
• Strong knowledge of Project Management principles, methodology, and tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in word processing, spreadsheet, and database management applications.
• Experience dealing with transactional databases, and accounting.
• Oil & Gas background is considered a plus

• Ability to gather application technical requirements and capture client needs utilizing appropriate methods, controls, and documentation.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to foster partnerships with business partners.
• Strong critical thinking skills for analysis and problem solving.

• Ability to manage multiple efforts and progress them simultaneously.
• Demonstrated skills in using SQL and non-SQL database management tools: MS SQL Server Management Studios, MySQL, SSIS and SSRS, among others.
• Knowledge on data analytics tools utilization is a plus.
