(Job Description)

A well-known utility company is hiring for a Sr. Business Analyst. This position is located in Seattle, WA and local candidates in the area are preferred but not necessary. Occasional travel may be required if not local. This position will be supporting large IT projects. This position requires a strong domain knowledge of enterprise budget solutions, experience leading workshops, and skilled at engaging stakeholders. The Enterprise Budget Management Solution Enhancement Project's primary goals are to migrate the current budget solution to the cloud, improve business budgetary processes, and close the tool feature gap to meet user needs.

Pay - $45/hr. - $47/hr. (max rate)

Location - Seattle, WA (remote with occasional travel may be required)

Contract Duration - 6-Months To Start

(Responsibilities)
• Utilize business analysis industry standard best practices to deliver change for the company by eliciting needs, documenting requirements, and recommending solutions that provide value to stakeholders.
• Conduct gap analysis workshops with the identified enterprise-wide key stakeholders to:
• Understand and document the current solution context/persona, business processes, and system context.
• Identify the primary business challenges/pain-points.
• Identify improvement opportunities through eliciting primary business challenges/pain points vs. future business process improvement opportunities.
• Complete gap analysis of current state business processes and future solutions.
• Responsible for Business Analysis Planning & Monitoring, Elicitation, Requirements Management and Communication, Enterprise Analysis, Requirement Analysis Solution Assessment & Validation.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to identify and ensure alignment of opportunities with the customer Mission and Values.
• Work with Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) to attain alignment with the Utility Technology Roadmap for incremental business opportunities
• Work with the Solution Architect for alignment of technology and functionality with the customer's Blueprint.
• Provide recommendations for priorities, budget use, and sequencing of opportunities.
• Engage and work closely with business customers at all levels from front-line to Executive leadership.
• Develop preliminary and detailed business requirements, use cases/user stories, software requirements, and process/workflow diagrams.
• Gather and evaluate information from multiple sources for project planning, requirements gathering, including interpreting high-level information; abstracting from low-level information to a general understanding; and evaluating user requests to perceive the underlying needs of the business.
• Communicate requirements and opportunities to all levels of the organization and to audiences of varying degrees of technical knowledge.
• Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the business processes and the associated IT systems as informed by business staff.
• Business analysis, including completion of deliverables following the customer PMO by project phases.

(Qualification Requirements)
• (Must Have) Minimum of 7+ years of years of business analysis experience implementing technology and business projects.
• (Must Have) In-depth budgetary knowledge required.
• Experience with business process modeling, workflows, and data analysis.
• Demonstrated experience of cloud migration and/or replacement of legacy systems.
• (Nice To Have) Business Analyst Certification (CCBA or CBAP).
• (Nice To Have) Versed in BABOK standards (inputs, tasks, and outputs).
• (Nice To Have) Working knowledge of Prosci's ADKAR model.
• (Nice To Have) Experience with organizational change management.
• (Nice To Have) Experience with RFP process (requirements, definition, vendor evaluation, etc.).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $47.25/hr.
