Role description

Sr Azure Cloud Engineer

100% Remote

7+ months

  1. Enterprise-scale Terraform experience – Designing, architecting, and coding Terraform from scratch, not copying/editing templates. Must understand advanced concepts (e.g., Map variables, Managed Identities, Locals blocks, etc.).

  1. Azure Cloud expertise – Migration to Azure and standardization within enterprise landing zones. Strong functionality knowledge (e.g., ExpressRoute, virtual hub, VNet peering, private endpoints).

  1. PowerShell scripting for Azure workloads – Enterprise system management and automation.

  1. Solutioning expertise (70-80%) – Proactively driving task completion, refactoring/developing Terraform modules, and creating scalable code solutions based on requirements.

Bonus Skill: Kubernetes knowledge for implementation expected in 2025.

Primary Responsibilities:

   • Migrating enterprise on-prem workloads (e.g., Citrix) to Azure using Terraform.

   • Enhancing and refactoring existing Terraform code for standardization and modularity.

   • Implementing multi-regional networking solutions, routing, and connectivity in Azure.

   • Collaborating across teams for requirements gathering, solution architecture, and end-to-end delivery utilizing Azure/Terraform.

   • Automating processes and scripting with tools like Ansible, as needed.

   • Strong stakeholder communication and presentation skills.

   • Confidence to ask for clarifications and collaborate with team members.

   • Ownership of tasks from requirements gathering to solution delivery.

   • Continuous improvement mindset.
