Our Plano-based client is in search of a Sr. Analytics Developer to deliver end-to-end BI solutions to multiple business units using Power BI and other relevant technologies. The Sr. Analytics Developer will design, develop, deploy, and maintain applications and dashboards to help drive business intelligence across the organization. This 1 year-contract-to-hire position is onsite offering 35 days per year remote.

SALARY OFFERED: Up to $130K depending on candidate experience, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

   • Collect and document business requirements from stakeholders.

   • Design, code, test, and deploy datasets, dashboards, and reports in Power BI (or similar technologies).

   • Continuously evaluate and improve business intelligence solutions to ensure they meet evolving business needs.

   • Independently manage product issues such as defects, patches, and upgrades, including deployment, testing, and post-production validation.

   • Directly implement patches and upgrades as needed.

   • Define, guide, and deliver medium-to-large-scale BI projects from start to finish.

   • Manage the work of BI Specialists and Analysts to ensure timely and successful project completion.

   • Develop and execute test plans/cases/scripts to validate the effectiveness of business intelligence solutions.

   • Ensure that BI solutions meet quality and performance standards before deployment.

   • Provide support for assigned systems, including troubleshooting, resolution, and proactive communication with internal clients.

   • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for processes, procedures, and BI designs (datasets, dashboards, and reports).

QUALIFICATIONS:

   • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

   • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence and data analytics.

   • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and report/dashboard creation.

   • Strong knowledge of data & analytics fundamentals, including various data modeling approaches.

   • Experience with SQL, R, DAX/MDX, or Python.

   • Experience with database technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or NoSQL databases.

   • Experience with Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms.

   • Familiarity with other Power Platform technologies (Power Apps, Power Automate).

   • Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau or Qlik.
