Role description

We are seeking a detail-oriented mid-level Database Developer with strong SQL expertise to join our client's team! In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing database solutions, with a focus on stored procedures, SSIS packages, and some Python development.

What you'll do:

   • Design, develop, and maintain SQL stored procedures, functions, and triggers

   • Create and optimize SSIS packages for ETL processes and data integration

   • Write and debug Python scripts for data processing and automation tasks

   • Participate in database schema design and optimization

   • Troubleshoot performance issues and implement improvements

   • Document database objects, processes, and data models

   • Collaborate with other team members on data-related projects

   • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices

Skills needed for success:

   • 3+ years of experience as a database developer Proficient in T-SQL and stored procedure development

   • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SSIS package development

   • Working knowledge of Python for data processing tasks

   • Understanding of database design principles and performance optimization

   • Ability to write efficient and maintainable code

   • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

   • Experience with SQL Server 2019/2022

   • Knowledge of Power BI or other BI tools

   • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) Experience with cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) Understanding of data warehousing concepts

   • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
