ezult Group continues to make great strides toward enhancing the technology services community nationwide. We are consistently looking for qualified professionals to join us in achieving success. Currently, we are searching for a SQL Developer to fulfill an immediate full-time vacancy.
This position is a 9 month Contract position that sits onsite in Birmingham, AL.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Perform 70% SQL development work, focusing on creating and optimizing SQL queries, procedures, and triggers within a PostgreSQL environment.
• Participate in database migration tasks, including data migration and transformation, as part of the ongoing transition from PostgreSQL with Timescale to Azure Cosmos DB for Postgres.
• Take on DBA-type tasks, ensuring efficient database performance and maintaining system integrity.
• Collaborate with the team to improve code quality and efficiency during the final stages of the project, with potential to explore integration of Machine Learning components into the system.
Position Requirements:
• 1-3 years of experience working with SQL, including data modeling, SQL development, and a focus on code quality and performance optimization.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL, and cloud-based environments (Azure preferred).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for coding and learning about the business s operational needs.
• Ability to work in a small, dynamic team and contribute to both technical and non-technical initiatives.
