Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Database Developer to support legacy modernization projects and large-scale data migration initiatives. The selected candidate will be responsible for SQL scripting, ETL development, data conversion, and database programming to ensure seamless migration and data integrity across enterprise systems.
Responsibilities:
• Develop SQL scripts for data migration, validation, and transformation.
• Perform data profiling, analysis, and troubleshooting to maintain data quality.
• Design and execute data conversion maps for large-scale enterprise projects.
• Develop triggers, stored procedures, and database functions for data entry and reporting.
• Implement and enforce database coding standards and best practices.
• Ensure proper configuration and administration of technical environments.
• Conduct unit and system testing of database code.
• Provide post-implementation support and performance optimization.
• Coordinate project activities, including meetings, documentation, and follow-ups.
Required Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in SQL scripting and data batch processing for legacy and modern technologies.
• 7+ years of experience in ETL development using tools like SSIS or Informatica.
• 5-7 years of experience executing data conversions for large data sets.
• 7+ years of experience in data migration and conversion for enterprise projects.
• Strong expertise in MS SQL Server, Oracle PL/SQL, and Azure SQL managed instances.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Platform Services and cloud-based database technologies.
• Strong knowledge of database modeling, data dictionaries, and metadata management.
• Experience in Collibra, Informatica, Jira, Confluence, and ALM Octane.
• Deep understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and data governance best practices.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in troubleshooting, scheduling, testing, and implementing data migration projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for data integrity and optimization.
