We are looking for a Social Data & Insights Lead to join our fast-paced, social-first agency

an initial fixed term basis. This is a pivotal new role within our growing team, where you'

drive our data strategy; transforming social data into compelling insights that fuel creative

storytelling and strategic decisions. Your expertise will shape best-in-class social content and

campaigns, ensuring our work is forward-looking.

What You’ll Be Doing as our Social Data & Insights Lead

Transform Data into Creative Insights:

You will lead pitch and client responses by uncovering trends, behaviors, and opportunities that inspire innovative social content and strategies. Additionally, you will communicate findings through engaging presentations tailored for non-technical audiences, ensuring insights inform creative and strategic decision-making. You’ll also transform data visualization and storytelling techniques, strengthening the department’s ability to translate data into actionable insights, and ensuring that social insights directly support strategic and creative development, shaping content that is engaging, relevant, and effective.

Trendspotting and Social Listening:

Your role will involve identifying emerging social trends, audience behaviors, and platform shifts to inform proactive strategic recommendations. Using social listening and trend-spotting tools, you’ll track cultural movements, competitor activity, and audience sentiment, ensuring strategies and creative stay ahead of the curve. You will also develop thought leadership pieces and insights that position the agency as a leader in the industry, while going beyond traditional metrics to understand the cultural and behavioral drivers behind social conversations, ensuring content resonates authentically with audiences. Strategic recommendations will be provided to content and creative teams based on real-time insights, ensuring campaigns align with the latest social conversations and consumer interests.

Leading New Business Briefs:

You’ll play a key role in shaping new business pitches, providing data-driven insights to demonstrate the effectiveness of our creative and strategic approach. Supporting the development of new methodologies and data products, you will enhance our offering and differentiate us in the market. Insights will be crucial in driving the strategic and creative direction of new business opportunities, demonstrating how data can unlock powerful storytelling and engagement.

Innovate in Reporting and Analysis:

You will oversee and support the reporting process for various projects, ensuring impactful social media management, influencer marketing, brand partnerships, and internal insight initiatives. Working with the data analyst, you’ll develop insightful dashboards and post-campaign analysis reports that provide clear strategic recommendations. Moving beyond basic reporting, you’ll provide predictive insights to inform future content and marketing strategies.

Lead Analysis Projects:

In this role, you will proactively manage and execute projects that explore the relationship between social data and campaign outcomes, driving strategic insights for our media and commercial teams. You’ll identify and act on opportunities within the social landscape to shape our approach to content, partnerships, and audience engagement. Social insights will be integrated into wider strategic and creative planning, supporting the development of campaigns that resonate deeply with audiences.

Drive Operational Efficiencies and Innovation:

You’ll continuously assess and refine workflows, leveraging AI-powered solutions and new methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Championing innovation, you’ll explore emerging tools and technologies that enhance data collection, analysis, and insight generation. Developing new ways to integrate social insights into the creative process, you’ll ensure content is grounded in audience intelligence.

Resourcing and Team Management:

You will oversee team resourcing and prioritization, ensuring efficient delivery of new briefs in alignment with strategic objectives. You’ll foster a collaborative and agile team culture that thrives in a fast-moving, social-first environment.

Data Collection and Quality Assurance:

You’ll ensure performance metrics for all social channels and campaigns are regularly updated and accurate. While data accuracy will not be the primary focus of the role, you will implement robust processes to maintain data integrity, supporting the team in achieving data precision.

What we need from you!

Leadership and Innovation:

You will bring a proven ability to lead and inspire teams, driving strategic insights that inform creative and business decisions. Your experience in identifying and capitalizing on emerging social trends will drive innovation and audience engagement.

Social Data Expertise:

You should have extensive experience managing large, cross-platform social datasets, with a strong ability to translate insights into creative and strategic recommendations. A deep understanding of social culture, audience behaviors, and platform trends is essential, applying this knowledge to anticipate shifts in engagement and inform creative strategy. Expertise in analyzing how social conversations evolve over time is crucial, as well as the ability to identify key sentiment drivers and cultural touchpoints that influence audience perception. You should also have the ability to contextualize data within broader cultural and industry movements, ensuring insights drive impactful creative storytelling and strategic decisions. Experience using tools such as Meta Business Suite, Crowdtangle, Tubular, TikTok Analytics, Pinterest Analytics, and Snap Story Studio is important to help you go beyond numbers and understand the meaning behind the data. Additionally, you should be able to connect social insights to broader consumer and cultural trends, ensuring campaigns remain relevant and impactful.

Tool Proficiency:

You should have advanced knowledge of analytics and social listening tools, including Supermetrics, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, and third-party data sources (e.g., YouGov, GWI, TGI, custom surveys). Experience in data visualization and storytelling is also essential to effectively communicate insights.

Client Engagement and Project Management:

You’ll have significant client-facing experience and a track record of delivering insightful reports and presentations that drive creative and strategic thinking. Your excellent organizational skills will be key in managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Must-Haves!!

Leadership:

You should have strong leadership skills, able to guide a team in delivering strategic insights that impact both business and creative outcomes.

Communication:

Exceptional communication skills are required, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal teams and external clients.

Project Management:

Outstanding organizational and time management skills are essential, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Technical Proficiency:

You should have hands-on experience with Meta Business Suite and at least 2-3 of the following: Crowdtangle, Tubular, TikTok Analytics, Pinterest Analytics, Snap Story Studio. Experience in trendspotting, social listening, and running effectiveness studies to evaluate campaign impact is also necessary.
