Senior Technical Business Analyst
About The Role
We are looking for experienced Technical Business Analysts (multiple opportunities available) to join one of our exciting flag ship programmes, on an initial 9-month Fixed term contract (salaried). Possible opportunity for extensions.
Our Cloud programme is implementing new policy systems, integrating with our Single Customer view and our new Fabric Data Platform (Azure) to improve digitalisation and deliver new business processes and capability, business critical analytical requirements, extracts and data migration requirements.
You will use your business acumen and technical analysis skills to help the programme deliver and achieve its defined business and Data objectives. You will analyse and interpret operational business, analytical and systems requirements. You will deliver technical analysis and data mapping, reverse engineering and technical requirements documentation for user stories and requirements. You will support the resolution of problems and risks and help shape change requests for impact assessment if required. You will work closely with the wider programme team, 3rd Party application experts, business SME’s and the Data Office.
These roles will be on a fixed term contract (salaried) until end of 2025
We offer Hybrid/flexible working. Our Bournemouth office is a key location for the programme (happy to discuss patterns)
Key Accountabilities
Work with the project team to distil and capture technical data requirements, working with 3rd party and internal SME’s to complete data mapping to support the end to end delivery lifecycle for integration, migration, reporting analytics and extracts.
Technical Business Analysis.
• Technical Data Analysis – understand legacy reporting, analysis, integration and complex extracts to map to the new system architecture (includes complex finance, actuarial requirements).
• Responsible for delivering technical data requirements and data mapping to support the end to end delivery lifecycle.
• Collaborate with 3rd party technical experts and business stakeholders to clarify and assure quality and accuracy.
• Reverse engineer technical processes where required to clarify the business and technical requirements
• Surface and raise technical change requests where required.
• Surface and articulate risk and mitigation opportunities where required.
• Support refinement of user stories in the backlog, to feed into sprint planning.
• Support impact assessments for planning and solution selection process.
• Collaboration with Scrum Master and Programme Lead to ensure plans are robust and delivery timescales agreed and achieved.
• Provide regular progress updates for the programme / scrum plan, highlighting key milestones and ensure timely delivery.
Skills & Experience
• Demonstrable experience as a Technical BA, effective use of elicitation techniques for different scenarios.
• Strong technical background, SQL essential, cloud migration programme experience and Azure data platform experience desirable.
• Strong collaboration skill and experience of working with on and offshore technical teams.
• Agile experience
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
