We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SQL Developer for a 6 month remote contract to hire position. The person must reside in Florida, and being in Central Florida would be preferred.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust SQL databases, ETL processes, and data integration solutions to support the business needs of a growing healthcare start-up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.
- Create, optimize, and manage complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
- Develop and implement ETL processes using Azure Data Factory and SSIS to support data integration and transformation.
- Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements.
- Design and implement data models, data warehouses, and data marts to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
- Monitor and troubleshoot database performance, optimizing for efficiency and scalability.
- Ensure data quality and consistency across various data sources and destinations.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation related to database and ETL processes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and stakeholders as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in database development, ETL, and data integration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SQL development, database design, and data integration.
- Proven experience with Azure Data Factory and SSIS.
- Strong proficiency in SQL Server, including T-SQL programming and performance tuning.
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data marts.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions, particularly within the Azure ecosystem.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other ETL tools and technologies.
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Relevant certifications in SQL Server, Azure, or related technologies.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check as well as a drug test.

Pay: $50.00 - $68.00 per hour
