Role description

Role: Quantitative Model Implementation Expert

Location: Remote

Duration: 12 months (Possible extension/Conversion)

The Quantitative Model Implementation Expert has significant experience in model implementation, with strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills. Developed communication skills required in order to negotiate collaborate with other team members.

Responsibilities:

   • Develop and enforce best practices for model implementations

   • Construct standardized approaches, like functions, classes, and libraries, for implementing various models

   • Code and implement a series of interconnected models in an IT platform

   • Serve as an expert resource to more junior developers and help ensure model code is standardized, efficient, and well documented

Qualifications:

   • 5+ years of post-PhD work experience, or 7+ years of post-Master’s work experience

   • Strong understanding of quantitative modeling approaches (particularly OLS and time series), obtained through model development experience at a peer financial institution.

   • Extensive, hands-on experience developing standardized implementation approaches and implementing models using standardized approaches

   • Experience implementing interconnected models, where the output of one model is used as the input to another model

   • Proficient in Python

   • Some understanding of economic concepts is useful

   • Self-motivated and detail oriented

   • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time

Education:

   • Master's degree required, Ph.D. preferred
