We have an opening for a Senior ArcGIS and .NET Developer and System Integration.
This is a contract assignment on the Government site with highly competitive pay. The initial term is one year with the option to be renewed annually upon satisfactory performance for up to 5 years.
Scope of Work:
- Contractor will provide Division of Highway Services (MCDOT) professional IT services in the area of application development, geospatial data analysis, data presentation, and enterprise-level system integration.
- Contractor will provide candidate(s) with Expert experience in:
9+ years of experience in application development using Visual Studio .NET and JavaScript.
9+ years of experience in ArcGIS Suite, including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS WebAppBuilder, ArcGIS Objects, and ArcGIS SDE.
Experience in database management tools using MS SQL Server and scripting language for MS SQL Server, Oracle, and MS Access.
Experience in deployment and system integration with enterprise-level systems.
Experience in system integration with Cityworks System and Siebel CRM System.
- Contract staff will work side-by-side with County staff to facilitate knowledge transfer.
- Contract staff will report directly to DOT Task Order Manager.
Deliverables: Contract resource will provide critical professional services in the area of .NET and ArcGIS application development for various programs over a period of 12 weeks with an option for extensions

Job Description:
Senior-level Arc GIS consultant to provide programming and analysis to support Department of Transportation's various needs including but not limited to providing various data presentation layers, programing new modules, providing timely helpdesk support and assisting the Network Administrating team regarding GIS systems.
The Arc GIS consultant will be responsible for creating polygon layers using ArcGIS (ArcMap) and base maps of streets. The polygon layers will determine 9-1-1 Public Safety system response plans.
The Arc GIS consultant may also have other responsibilities, including quality checking GIS layers and data; performing geospatial analysis for maps and reports; acquiring data from various sources; generating, maintaining, and documenting (metadata); and assisting in maintaining geospatial ArcSDE databases. The ideal candidates will have the following background:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in GIS or a related field.
Min three (3) years’ hands-on experience in using/operating ArcGIS (esp. ArcMap)
Functional knowledge of the operations and technical development of GIS technology, the most current versions of ESRI products, and Microsoft Office applications.
You MUST be a Great Team player while able to work independently.
Willingness to learn new technologies quickly and apply best practices is MUST.
Understanding the .NET development environment, working with a collaborative development environment, and being familiar with COTS and API programming is PLUS.
Note: The consultant should be available to provide Help Desk support services during emergencies and during Snow season.
