Job Title: Senior Data Modeler

We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Modeler to join our team. As a Senior Data Modeler, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support the organization's data needs. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, data engineers, and other members of the data team to ensure that our data architecture meets business requirements and adheres to best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models using tools such as Erwin. Implement dimensional modeling techniques to design efficient data warehouses and data marts. Utilize SQL to query and manipulate data for modeling purposes and to validate data integrity. Design and implement Data Vault modeling techniques to support complex data integration requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data models. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data modelers and other members of the data team. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data modeling and recommend improvements to our data architecture as needed. Ensure that data models comply with data governance and security standards.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in data modeling, with a focus on dimensional modeling and Data Vault modeling. Proficiency in data modeling tools such as Erwin. Strong SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries and optimize database performance. Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
