Location: US Remote (30% travel to Atlanta)
Duration: 6-month contract (possibility of extension)
Rate: $75/hr (All-Inclusive)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer – Data Architect to support a strategic project for one of our clients. Role Overview
The Senior Data Engineer – Data Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and data models. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ETL processes, data warehousing, cloud data management, and security best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering & Architecture
• Develop and manage ETL pipelines, clusters, and job scheduling processes.
• Optimize SQL queries, Data Frames, and overall data performance.
• Design and maintain Data Lakes, ensuring data integrity and optimizing storage.
• Develop scalable data warehouses, including schema design and dimensional modeling.
Data Integration & Management
• Design and maintain complex data pipelines, including configuration of activities, linked services, and triggers.
• Integrate diverse data sources and ensure smooth data transformations.
• Monitor data workflows, identify and resolve errors, and optimize performance.
Cloud & Security
• Implement Azure-based data management and analytics solutions.
• Apply security best practices, including RBAC/IAM, data encryption (Key Vault/KMS), and network security.
• Manage and optimize cloud costs, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
Programming & Automation
• Develop data processing scripts and implement custom transformations.
• Utilize advanced SQL for querying, manipulating, and analyzing large datasets.
• Automate workflows and deployments for improved efficiency and scalability.
Technical Skillset
• Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics
• Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Monitor
Qualifications
• Minimum of 12 years of total experience.
• At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Databricks and Azure Cloud.
• Recent 8-10 years working in Data Engineering or Data Architecture roles.
• Must be open to 30% travel to Atlanta.
