Job Overview
The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NC DEQ) is actively seeking a dedicated Senior Business/Data Analyst to contribute to the Permit Transformation Program team on a one-year contract basis. This remote position offers the opportunity to engage with a range of technologies, including Oracle, DB2, MySQL, and SQL Server, alongside desktop applications like MS Access and MS Excel. The primary objective is to develop an enterprise data model aimed at standardizing shared data entities and attributes.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide analytical insights and leadership on various data analysis projects across the DEQ enterprise.
• Design and uphold an enterprise data model that aligns with DEQ’s business and technical specifications.
• Collaborate closely with fellow data analysts, architects, and application developers to ensure seamless data integration.
• Standardize data entities and attributes across the organization to enhance data management practices.
Required Skills
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Oracle, DB2, MySQL, and SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dataverse, Azure Data Factory, and SSIS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Expertise in desktop applications including MS Access and MS Excel.
