About the Role:

Servlets is seeking an experienced and motivated AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions. As a core member of our cloud team, you will play a key role in developing and supporting mission-critical workloads on AWS. You’ll work cross-functionally with developers, DevOps, security, and architecture teams to enable cloud-first strategies that drive innovation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

   • Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS, including compute, networking, storage, and security services.

   • Automate infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.

   • Monitor, manage, and optimize cloud resources for performance, availability, and cost-efficiency.

   • Collaborate with security teams to enforce IAM policies, encryption standards, and compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, SOC2, ISO).

   • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based applications using tools like CodePipeline, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.

   • Support containerization and orchestration using Docker and Amazon ECS or EKS.

   • Troubleshoot issues related to cloud infrastructure, networking, and performance bottlenecks.

   • Stay current with AWS services and recommend enhancements or new solutions as appropriate.

Required Qualifications:

   • Must be U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

   • Must be located in the U.S.

   • 3+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with hands-on AWS experience.

   • Strong knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.).

   • Proficiency in scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell).

   • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK).

   • Familiarity with Linux/Unix administration and networking fundamentals.

   • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.

   • AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect Associate/Professional or DevOps Engineer) is a strong plus.

   • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

   • Experience with multi-account AWS environments and AWS Organizations.

   • Exposure to hybrid cloud setups or legacy-to-cloud migrations.

   • Knowledge of cost optimization strategies and AWS Billing tools.

   • Familiarity with serverless architectures and event-driven design patterns.

   • Experience with monitoring/observability tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, etc.).
