Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business/Data Analyst for a one-year contract, working remotely. This pivotal role will be instrumental in navigating the DEQ enterprise’s intricate, multi-platform data environment, which includes technologies such as Oracle, DB2, MySQL, and SQL Server, as well as desktop applications like MS Access and MS Excel. The successful candidate will lead initiatives to establish a cohesive enterprise data model aimed at standardizing shared data entities and attributes.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and conduct data analysis projects across the DEQ enterprise.
• Develop and implement an enterprise data model that aligns with business and technical requirements.
• Provide expert guidance to fellow data analysts, data architects, and application developers.
• Standardize database management systems and tools used within the organization.
• Facilitate the migration and hosting of transactional databases and data warehouses in Azure, primarily utilizing Microsoft Dataverse and SQL Server.

Required Skills
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse and SQL Server.
• Proficiency in Azure Data Factory and SSIS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating complex data concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with multiple database systems, including Oracle, DB2, MySQL, and SQL Server.

Qualifications
• Proven experience in a Data Analyst or Data Architect role.
