Swoon is actively seeking a SAP BusinessObjects Developer to join the team of our client - a fortune 1000 company!
We're looking for a highly skilled SAP BusinessObjects Developer with strong experience in Universe Design, PL/SQL, and data validation using SAP HANA and Oracle. You'll join a collaborative team working on data-driven projects involving reporting layer development, data integration, and continuous optimization of BusinessObjects universes.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building scalable BI solutions, validating complex data structures, and working with cutting-edge SAP technologies in a standalone HANA environment.
What You'll Do
• Design, build, and maintain SAP BusinessObjects Universes using Information Design Tool (IDT)
• Perform data validation and analysis using PL/SQL on Oracle and SAP HANA
• Support both small enhancements (adding fields) and large-scale universe creation projects
• Collaborate with team members during daily 9:00 AM CST standups
• Conduct unit testing, documentation, and coordinate promotions to QA
• Implement and manage universe security settings
• Participate in ongoing enhancements to data warehousing and reporting tools
Your Tech Toolbox
• SAP BusinessObjects (BO), Universe Design, IDT
• Oracle & PL/SQL
• Standalone SAP HANA (not BW or S4)
• SQL
• Optional: ABAP (nice to have, not required)
Team Environment
• Join a collaborative team of 6 developers working across HANA and Universe projects
• Led by an experienced manager who values quality, agility, and communication
What We're Looking For
• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP BO universe development and data engineering
• Strong SQL/PLSQL experience with Oracle and HANA data validation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and documentation habits
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with varying levels of effort
