About the Project

This role is with a leading technology team responsible for building the software that powers a dynamic temporary staffing marketplace. The team focuses on automating and optimizing financial processes, ensuring that workers’ shifts are accurately recorded, processed into payroll, and seamlessly integrated into billing systems. Their mission is to deliver scalable, compliant, and highly reliable solutions that drive efficiency and business growth.

As a Python Developer, you’ll play a critical role in enhancing AI-driven financial tools, modernizing the platform, and migrating legacy components to scalable, service-oriented architectures.

Responsibilities
• Maintain and enhance backend APIs and integrations with third-party vendors.
• Develop AI-powered APIs to support client- and worker-facing financial management tools.
• Refactor and migrate complex logic from a monolithic Ruby on Rails application to a service-oriented architecture, with a focus on Python/Django.
• Build and improve client- and worker-facing applications to streamline time tracking, payroll, and billing workflows.
• Lead technical discussions and drive requirements for large-scale, complex projects.
• Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and efficient systems.
• Enforce high code quality standards through rigorous code reviews, ensuring reliability, functionality, and maintainability.

Required Skills & Qualifications
• 6+ years of experience in Python development, with expertise in MySQL/PostgreSQL and modern frameworks.
• Strong polyglot development skills, with proficiency in Python/Django and Ruby on Rails; experience with Rust is a plus.
• Proven experience breaking apart monolithic architectures and implementing scalable solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills, both in code and in system design.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities to coordinate across teams.
• Passion for developer productivity, AI advancements, and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies.
