CTG's premier client has a contract assignment for a Python Programmer.
Job Title: Python Programmer
Type: Contract- 6 months+ (extension possible)
Location: Remote, worker can be located anywhere in US, but must work EST hours
Pay Rate: 60.00-74.00/hr
Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm, 40 hours per week, with occasional off-hour support as needed
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
Travel Requirements: Up to 5% may be required
Description:
As a Python Programmer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Python-based applications and scripts. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to high-quality software solutions, ensuring they meet client requirements. This role offers both back-end and front-end development responsibilities, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support existing proprietary Python applications, scripts, and tools.
• Develop and maintain Python applications, scripts, and tools.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices.
• Collaborate with software engineers and other stakeholders to define project requirements.
• Design and implement scalable software solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain stability and performance.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies.
• Document development processes and code for future reference.
Requirements:
• Required Qualifications:
• 5-7 years of proven experience as a Python Programmer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and web frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask) and libraries (requests, Pandas, NumPy).
• Familiarity with web front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques or data analysis.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
