Python API Developer
Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Irving, TX that is seeking a Python API Developer. Responsibilities:
β’ Executes full product life cycle (inception through deprecation) to create highly scalable and flexible RESTful APIs to enable an infinite number of digital products
β’ Collaborate with other Engineers, Creative/UX designers, Scrum Masters, Product Managers, Business Analysts and Architects
β’ The SSE must have a strong and continuously growing proficiency in RESTful API development focused on Python and Node.js; This includes actively participating in designing, developing, reviewing, testing and deploying APIs (including supporting infrastructure) to drive our digital products
β
Requirements
β’ 5+ years of industry experience
β’ 3+ years of python server development using Django, Flask, Bottle or other python frameworks
β’ Ability to write unit-tested and maintainable code
β’ Expertise working with and building RESTful APIs
β’ Expert in Python
β’ Knowledgeable in cloud platforms (preferable AWS: both traditional EC2 and serverless Lambda), micro-services architecture, CI/CD solutions (including Docker), DevOps principles, message queue systems, and background task management
β’ Experience with API security frameworks, token management and user access control including OAuth, JWT, etc.
β’ Solid foundation and understanding of relational and NoSQL database principles
β’ Well organized with a bias for action with minimal direction
β’ A team player with a start-up/entrepreneur mindset
β’ Ravenous about learning technology and problem solving
β’ Strong writing and communication skills
β’ Understanding of OOP and Data Structures and know when to apply them in daily coding scenarios
β’ Message queues (RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ, etc.)
β’ Background task processing (Celery, etc.)
β’ Experience configuring container like systems (Vagrant, Docker, etc.)
β’ Basic understanding of modern web components (HTML/CSS/JS)
β’ Ability to self-organize with minimal guidance/competing priorities and work effectively within a team
β’ Large organization experience - Large Scale projects
β’ Ability to work in an Agile /SCRUM environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
