Job Description
Position Title: Principal Consultant in Nursing AnalyticsPay Rate: $72 per hourLocation: Open to candidates nationwideSchedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to FridayLocation: Remote, with potential for 6-8 onsite days per year (not required) Preferred Candidates: PA, NJ, DE, MD (employment outside these states will be through a third party)
Overview:
This role is ideal for a data-driven nursing professional with hands-on experience in nursing analytics, workforce dynamics, engagement, and retention strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Consultation & Leadership:
Serve as a trusted advisor to executive clients and healthcare leaders.
Provide strategic guidance and coach stakeholders on nursing workforce-related projects.
Collaborate with senior leadership to drive organizational commitment and action.
Data Analytics & Problem-Solving:
Analyze large-scale healthcare datasets to support workforce planning, retention, and engagement.
Utilize SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools to interpret and present data.
Develop problem-solving frameworks and generate actionable insights from nursing data.
Identify trends and provide evidence-based recommendations for operational improvements.
Project Execution & Communication:
Lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with client goals.
Develop high-impact reports and presentations that clearly convey analytical findings.
Influence client decision-making through compelling storytelling and structured communication.
Quality & Continuous Improvement:
Ensure all work meets accuracy, reliability, and completeness standards.
Act as a mentor and coach, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Stay updated on new tools, technologies, and analytical solutions in nursing data analytics.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Information Technology, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
7+ years of progressive experience in data analysis, strategy development, and stakeholder engagement—preferably in a healthcare or academic setting.
Proven ability to lead projects independently and work with cross-functional teams.
Strong experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
Deep understanding of nursing workflows and healthcare workforce dynamics.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Information Technology, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
Background in nursing or clinical leadership is highly preferred.
