Our client, a leading regulatory body, is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to join their Performance & Analytics team on a contract basis. This role offers a competitive day rate of up to £400, inside IR35, and is based in Brighton with a hybrid working model.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Power BI Developer to support the transition of reporting to Power BI and Azure data platforms. The role will focus heavily on developing and refactoring reports, as well as training the Performance & Analytics team to independently develop these reports in the future.

    • Responsibilities:

    • - Develop and refactor Power BI reports/dashboards with clear visuals

  • Provide training and support on Power BI functionality

  • Work with non-technical customers to understand requirements and redesign reports

  • Peer review reports for accuracy and quality

  • Explore the new data warehouse, write SQL code, and assist in developing new data models

    • Essential Criteria:

    • - Excellent Power BI skills, including data visualisation and building data models

  • Strong experience in KPI and performance reporting

  • Proficient in writing SQL code to extract and combine data

  • Experienced in data quality checks

  • Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels

  • Working knowledge of development operations, practices, and tooling (e.g., Github)

    • Desirable Criteria:

    • - Knowledge of forecasting and descriptive statistical techniques

  • Working knowledge of Azure analysis services

    • Person Specification:

    • - Ability to coach and support team members in Power BI report development

  • Ability to work independently, prioritise, and use initiative
