Akkodis is seeking a Power BI Developer for a 24-month contract with a client in Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181- Hybrid.
Title: Power BI Developer
Location: Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181- Hybrid
Contract: 24-month contract
Pay Rate: $45-$50/hr (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Data Engineer & Visualization Specialist to design, develop, and maintain Microsoft Fabric-powered dataflows, analytical tools, and visualizations that drive business insights. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data engineering, experience working with multiple programming languages, and a strong background in building scalable and efficient analytical solutions using modern cloud and BI technologies.
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in Power BI development, data engineering, and visualization.
• Deep understanding of Power BI, DAX, Power Query (M language), and data modeling techniques.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python/R for data processing.
• Experience working with Microsoft Fabric, especially Dataflows Gen2, OneLake, and Lakehouse architecture.
• Familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and cloud data integration.
• Strong understanding of modern data architecture, data warehousing, and data governance.
• Demonstrated experience building scalable and interactive dashboards.
• Excellent analytical thinking and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric workloads including Data Engineering and Data Science.
• Exposure to Big Data technologies like Apache Spark, Delta Lake, or Hadoop.
• Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and libraries.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
• Microsoft certifications (e.g., PL-300, DP-203, Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate).
