Power BI Developer
Salary: $47.50 to $55.00 hourly
Description
We are seeking a Power BI Developer to join our team in Houston, Texas. This individual will be a key player in our Business Intelligence team, focusing on the development and maintenance of Power BI solutions. They will be responsible for database-focused tasks, with an emphasis on Oracle/Snowflake view/schema. This is a long term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain Power BI solutions to meet business requirements.
• Handle database-focused tasks, ensuring efficient and accurate processing.
• Work directly with Oracle/Snowflake view/schema, ensuring seamless integration and handling.
• Collaborate with the team to enhance Business Intelligence (BI) capabilities.
• Work closely with customers to address inquiries and resolve any issues.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
• Assure accurate customer credit records.
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
• Provide technical support related to Power BI and other BI tools.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role in Business Intelligence (BI)
• Proficiency in using Power BI to develop interactive dashboards and reports
• In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) framework
• Familiarity with BI technologies like Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI
• Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
• Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
• Ability to create and interpret Business Requirement Document
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience working with Agile development methodologies.
