Power BI Developer ($45-50/hr W2) (EST Hours)

Duration: 1 year+ contract (chance for extensions or potentially roll to perm)

Location: 100% Remote in US; EST Hours

Schedule: M-F 1st shift hours; 40-45 hours/week

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to assist in converting a backlog of reports from Tableau to Power BI.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in Power BI development, data visualization, and report migration.

Responsibilities:
• Convert existing Tableau reports into Power BI
• Collaborate with the DBA to understand business reporting needs and optimize PBI solutions
• Develop Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Check proper data connections and integrations between PBI and underlying data sources.
• Optimize report performance and troubleshoot issues related to data visualization.
• Work with business stakeholders to refine reporting requirements and improve dashboard usability.
• Follow best practices for data governance, security, and Power BI deployment.

Qualifications:
• Experience as a Power BI Developer, with expertise in Power BI Report Development and Visualization.
• Experience migrating reports from Tableau to Power BI
• Strong understanding of SQL and database structures.
• Ability to connect Power BI with various data sources, including SQL databases and cloud-based services.
• Experience with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query (M language).

Preferred Qualifications/Nice-to-Haves:
• Data modeling in Power BI.
• Power BI Service, Power BI Gateway, and security configurations.
• Familiarity with Azure, Snowflake, or other cloud data platforms is a plus.
