Position: Senior Power BI Data Analyst

Location: Phoenix onsite

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Power BI Data Analyst to lead the development of data visualization, reporting, and analytics solutions that drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, SQL, and data modeling, with the ability to work closely with business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reports.

Lead data visualization best practices to improve user experience and decision-making.

Create and optimize DAX measures for complex calculations and performance tuning.

Develop and maintain data models, relationships and pipelines to support analytics.

Extract, clean, and transform large datasets from multiple sources (SQL, APIs, Cloud, Excel, etc.).

Work with business teams to understand key KPIs, reporting needs, and analytics requirements.

Implement governance, security, and best practices for Power BI deployment.

Automate data refresh schedules, incremental loads, and report updates.

Provide mentorship and training to junior analysts and business users on Power BI best practices.

Integrate Power BI with Azure, Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, and other enterprise tools.

Work closely with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to improve data accessibility and insights.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in Power BI development and data analysis.

Strong command of DAX, Power Query (M Language), and advanced Power BI modeling.

Proficiency in SQL for querying, optimizing, and transforming large datasets.

Experience working with relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).

Expertise in data visualization best practices and user experience (UX) design.

Hands-on experience with ETL processes, data pipelines, and data warehousing concepts.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide recommendations.

Experience in business intelligence governance, security, and role-based access control (RBAC).

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, or AWS Redshift.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Power BI and automated report deployments.
