This role will work with the IT Foundation - Low Code & Automation team responsible for the administration and governance of the Power Platform within Chevron in very close partnership with several Power Platform Product Groups and Microsoft. We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to help support a suite of tools that has been built to orchestrate tasks such as:

  • Environment provisioning, backup, and decommissioning

  • Solution deployments to Test/Prod environments via automated Azure DevOps pipelines integrated with custom C# Azure functions

  • Solution deployments to Test/Prod environments using Pipelines for Power Platform and Power Automate/C# extensions

  • Automated risk evaluation of Solutions using C# Azure functions

  • Management of applications in Production environment, such as automated security role assignment and, app decommissioning

A suitable candidate will have C#, Power Platform, and Azure DevOps Pipelines experience. Experience developing Power Platform apps and flows, and familiarity with Dataverse Web APIs is preferred but not required. See Preferred and Required qualifications sections for complete list. This role will work on User Stories and Features addressing existing technical debt and delivering new capabilities to the enterprise, including Copilot Studio, reusable components in Power Catalog, enhancing support tools for L1 support team, Power Pages, and other incremental improvements to existing tools.

This is NOT an end-user support role; however, there may be occasional support escalations from the Power Platform L1 support team where deeper technical expertise or higher permissions are required to resolve issues or engagements with end users as part of the requirements gathering or testing phases.

Need a skilled power platform engineer to maintain our existing tier 1 work priorities including AI enablement and able to train others.

Required technical skills:

  • Power Platform knowledge

  • C#

  • Azure DevOps Pipelines

  • Dataverse

Required functional/domain knowledge:

  • Experience with C# development using Azure Functions

  • Experience with Azure DevOps pipeline development (YAML)

  • Knowledge of Power Platform/Dataverse Architecture

  • Familiarity with ALM/DevOps principles

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Solution architecture background

This role will work with the central Low Code & Automation team at Chevron responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving enterprise-scale tools used by Power Platform developers at Chevron, including environment orchestration and management, Solution deployment, compliance scanning, technical debt reduction, Copilot Studio and other new platform capability enablement, and technical support escalations from L1 support team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing Apps and Flows using Power Platform

  • Experience using Dataverse Web API (esp. in C#)

  • Experience working asynchronously with a multi-geo team located in different time zones
