Job Position: Oracle PL/SQL Developer
Location: Dallas, TX/ Tampa, FL
Experience Level: 5+ Years
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and implement PL/SQL packages, procedures, triggers, and functions to support business applications.
• Optimize and troubleshoot existing PL/SQL code to improve performance.
• Analyze and understand business requirements to create technical solutions using Oracle databases.
• Develop complex queries and database objects, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
• Perform database tuning and optimization, including indexing and partitioning strategies.
• Maintain database integrity, security, and performance through regular monitoring and audits.
• Collaborate with application developers and business analysts to ensure seamless integration between database and application layers.
• Support production systems, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for database processes and solutions.
Qualifications/ Required Skills:
• Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL development.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, design, and performance tuning.
• Experience with SQL query optimization and indexing.
• Familiarity with Oracle tools such as SQL
• Plus, Toad, or SQL Developer.
• Understanding of data modeling and database design principles.
• Ability to work with large datasets and design efficient database solutions.
• Hands-on experience in creating and managing database objects like tables, views, indexes, and triggers.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Oracle Forms and Reports.
• Knowledge of Oracle Apex (Application Express).
• Exposure to ETL processes and data integration tools.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux shell scripting.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
