Summary

Job Summary:

As a Lloyd’s Regulatory Analyst at Beazley your core purpose is to build a strong understanding of end to end Lloyd’s reporting needs to be able to accurately and efficiently elicit, challenge, and document requirements, processes and scope. You are a key member of the Data Products team, focused on unlocking data for Beazley stakeholders and ensuring our accurate and timely reporting.

The Role

Data is one of Beazley’s greatest assets and our data reflects the complexity of our business. Our data is in the process of modernisation and automation. Your role will be essential to our transformation into a digital company to meet our ambitious growth plans. As a Lloyd’s Regulatory Analyst focused on Compliance data, you will be responsible for a portfolio of data products supporting our business in the UK, Europe and Asia. You will work with business stakeholders and a Data Product Owner to understand data needs, prioritize development, and create a roadmap of iterative deliveries of enhanced data products on our Modern Data Platform. As a key member of our data team, you will initially be responsible for regulatory reports, such as: Eligible Complainants, Conduct Risk, ELTO, PMDR, RRQ, among others. You will lead the transition to operationalize our data, leading to greater efficiency, higher quality data and better business insights.

Key Responsibilities

Business and Data Analysis
• Act as a key representative from data management to support projects, change management or/and Beazley’s strategic initiatives.
• Own a portfolio of data products and create a roadmap for iterative delivery of automated reports and enhancements.
• Advise the business on best practices and challenge existing structure with regards to systems and processes on any project with a link to data.
• Manage stakeholders through the report development lifecycle including requirements gathering, updates and expectation management, user testing, sign off and roll-out.
• Build trusted data models to support reporting projects including understanding data sources, writing SQL data pipelines and creating and populating data models.
• Collate, prepare and submit data for regulatory reporting, analysing the data to find conclusions.
• Design and build reports using sophisticated visualisation tools that optimise and enhance business reporting and intelligence across Beazley and support our teams to deliver enhanced outcomes.
• Identify product/capability constraints and work with the Product Owner, Platform Lead and the delivery team(s) to address these.
• Act as an ambassador for Data Quality at Beazley, ensuring the Data Governance and Quality Framework and best practices are embedded across all work that is done.
• Monitor mitigation and remediation activities around the root cause analysis of data issues.
• Ensure Data Quality and Governance best practices are applied in all work.
• Present findings and pre-submission reports to Regulatory Review Committees.

Personal Specification

We’re looking for candidates with experience building regulatory and compliance reports for the Insurance industry in Europe and the UK. The successful candidate should have experience with the Lloyd’s market and/or the Central Bank of Ireland. Candidates should be able to demonstrate technical data skills including data wrangling, analysis, data model development and visualization skills. The successful candidate should have a passion for data and a curious mindset both for Beazley and the wider insurance industry. Great communication skills across all levels of seniority and the ability to represent Data to our colleagues, clients and regulators.

Education And Qualifications
• Degree level educated - any discipline, or a proven level of experience within this role.
• Business Analyst certifications preferable.

• Highly organised and structured thinking and understands the importance of meeting regulatory deadlines.
• The ability to influence and impact business relationships internally and externally to Beazley.

Knowledge And Experience
• Proven experience developing data regulatory reports in the insurance industry, preferably the London Market.
• Experience in managing, analysing and manipulating data.
• Expertise in data related projects.
• Proven demonstration of problem solving.
• Understands the challenges around utilising data appropriately and building solutions through considerations of both business processes and Management Intelligence.
• Use of various analysis and project management tools covering scope definition, requirements documentation and progress reporting.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Power BI.
• Knowledge of SQL and Python.
• Knowledge of Data Quality tools would be advantageous.
• Experience creating data visualisations or infographics and being able to demonstrate value through visualisation.
