Java/GCP Engineer - Prime Therapeutics - Remote - Contract to Hire

Project Scope:

   • Have a tool call PQM

   • App that tracks and measures performance, metrics, and goals for clients

   • A ton of data coming from a variety of sources (100+)

   • Legacy app – built on access and .Net and was never set up for enterprise support

   • Will be maintained and minimal updates while building new

   • Replacing with a new app – 100% greenfield

   • Built using Java and GCP

Team Size:

   • This CE plus one FTE (hiring now) will be main developers on this project

   • Will interact with existing Dev team, Data, support team for legacy app, analyst supporting tool

​

Engineer:

   • Full stack role – Primarily Java (need details on FE frameworks)

   • Will be helping to plan and design app build with FTE

   • Will utilize Python for data processing, scripting, and some integration tasks

   • DB – Google BigQuery and PostgreSQL

   • Vast amount of data sources to integrate – should be well versed in API development

Must Haves:

   • Senior resource – 10+ yrs Design and Development

   • Java

   • Python, Pyspark

   • SQL DB

   • GCP – Composer, BiqQuery, Dataplex, Dataflow

Nice To Haves:

   • Google Cloud Storage

   • Google Looker Studio

   • BigQuery Data Transfer Service

   • Apache Airflow

   • Apache Beam

   • Git

   • GitHub

   • Kafka Libraries/Kafka Connect

   • Alteryx Designer

   • Data Warehousing experience
